Has Adele Done Gone Made A Country Record?
There have been no end of rumours regarding Adele's eagerly awaited third studio album - and very little in the way of hard facts. However US singer Kelly Clarkson may just have let a really big cat out of the bag by sharing an industry rumour in an interview with the Wall Street Journal. Speaking about staying open-minded musically, she told the paper: "Adele I heard is doing something more country-influenced with this next record." Well it kinda makes sense if you think about it. In Adele's absence Taylor Swift has become the hottest female pop star in the biz, and she did it by abandoning her former country-tinged sound for pure pop. So maybe Adele reckons there's a gap in the market and she'll be - ahem - "rolling in the deep south" on her new LP?
