Karol Sakr is a Lebanese artist. She is a talented singer born in the early 1970’s.Since she was 16 years old, she has had a passion for singing. She met the Musician Hedi Shahara from the band Zed and she joined the band. In 1988, she represented Lebanon in the Sopoy Music International festival in Poland winning the first prize among 27 participants.
In 1989, she signed with the French music label Polydor and released her first album ‘Jealous in Europe’. She won consecutively the first award in the reality show ‘Star Search ‘in Australia, and the second award in the same show in Florida, USA.
In 1996, she signed with BMG records and released her second album ‘Away’ which won the Golden Awards for its sales. One year later, she represented Lebanon in the Barsov Romanian Music festival and sang along with Christina Aguilera.
In 2004, she performed a duet with the star Assi Al-hellani entitled ‘Ouli jay’. In 2005, she signed with Rotana Music Label winning a Murex D’ Or award a year later for the best voice of 2006 and best come back singer. Her last album ‘Karol sakr009’, released under Rotana records, was a great successful album.
