Haifa Mohamed Wehbe or Haifa Wehbe is a Lebanese show artist born to a Lebanese father and an Egyptian mother on March 10,1976.
At an early age, she started her career as a model with famous agencies. At the age of 16 years old she was nominated Miss South Lebanon, and was ranked second in Miss Lebanon competition in 1995. She became known when she starred in a music video clip "Erdha Benassib" for the singer George Wassouf. She also participated as a model in the video clip of Assi Hellani "Ya Mima".
By 1996, she had already appeared on more than a hundred magazine covers. Haifa wehbe started her singing career in 2000. In 2002, she released her first album "Howa Ezzaman" with Rotana Records. The album was very successful, especially the single "Akoul Ahwak". Her second album ‘Beddi Ayyich’ was released in 2005, followed by a third album "Habibi Ana", released in 2008. Haifa is an uncommon show artist. Her songs such as "Bous El Wawa" drew different critics in the artistic sphere.
Haifa used the video clip strategy to promote her songs, she has recorded 9 video so far. She was the leading actress in one movie "Dokan Chahata", directed by Khaled Youssef. Haifa has participated in many TV shows such as the reality TV show "Alwedi" on LBC channel. Throughout her career Haifa won several awards such as: The Golden Lion awaed in Egypt, in 2002, Best Young Female Arab singer in Egypt, in 2004, and The Murex d’Or award with the title “Best Artist of the Year in 2005 and 2006.
