Mohamed Iskandar

Mhammad Eskandar was born on the 20th of September 1960.
 
He is from the Beqaa- Hermel. He has a strong, unique voice, marked by manhood and sensitivity. Since childhood, Eskandar was talented, passionate for poetry, Attaba, Migana, and the Lebanese Folklore, given that he grew up in an environment where his family members wrote poems and were blessed to have nice voices. He began his career as a poet, and in 1983, he formed his own choir, and toured with it many Arab countries, Brazil, and Africa, but his dream to become a famous singer remained in his mind.
 
Mhammad Eskandar took lessons in Oud, and oriental singing. At first he struggled a lot, but he always made sure to make strong relations with successful composers and poets. In 1988, Eskandar participated in a amateur program called "Layali Lobnan". Then for the first time he appeared on National Lebanese television and sang a piece called "Ghebti Ya Lina" written by himself and composed by Matar Mohamed, he won the golden medal. However year 1989 marked his strong start with the song "Min Chaghil Balik" which changed musical standards at that time and formed for Eskandar a unique transition is his artistic path.
 
His song "Min Chaghil Balik" was featured in an album that gained popularity due to its folkloric songs as, "Itdalali Ya Aarous", "Jeebo El Sheikh W Abouna", and a poem composed by himself and written by the poet Al Khaled Khalil Rokouz "Hikalo". The pain caused by the civil Lebanese war made him present for his abroad audience soaring Lebanon many works as "Tayarat Beirut", "La Tanadini Mish Rah Irjaa" and many more. In 1994 he returned to Beirut to launch "Ors Al Dayaa" and in 1995 "Mareed Twadaini".
 
In 1996, Mhammad Eskandar launched a new album "Faya Mandilek Faya" which added more success to his career. Eskandar is among those few singers who are able to improvise on stage, his poetry skills allow him to come out with new poems for each occasion. In 1997 his new album "Bieide Dakhaltik Al Alb" saw the light, to be followed by another album in 1998 "La Tnam Ouyunak" where he collaborated for the first time with the talented composer Salim Salameh. He participated in many patriotic and public events, as well as weddings. In 1999, Eskandar launched his new album "Ors Al Badiya".
 
In year 2000, to celebrate the departure of Israel from Lebanon, Eskandar launched his album "Reshou El Wared" that featured the song "Fallou". In 2002 his new album "Al Hassoudi" came to light. It was a huge success. At that time Eskandar found himself surrounded by a sudden drop in the artistic standards, that is when he decided to start producing his work himself. Year 2009 marked a new start for him, he produced three albums "Al Berdana", "Kebret Bi Rassi" and "La Tekser Khater Mara"
 
"Elly Byermiki Bwardi Brasso Bkhartesh Fardi" those words written by his eldest son Fares Eskandar and composed by Salim Salameh were a huge unexpected change in his career. Later on he launched "Jomhouryet Albi", which gave him the name of "Singer of both centuries". These albums made him become the talk of the town, making people wonder about what he will be presenting next. From his start till now Eskandar presented more than 250 songs, the last one being "Ded El Onf" that is being highlighted for its daring theme. He has as well 300 video clips, and more than 50 TV appearance.He finishes his biography by a say he believes in "he who is satisfied will live"
